Editorial policy (South Africa)
How the guides on xinvest-southafrica.com are written, what they will never do, and how mistakes get fixed.

XM South Africa Guide is an independent guide to using XM from South Africa. Every page answers one practical question a South African trader actually asks: how a login works, what a withdrawal rule says, what a demo cannot prove, how much margin a position needs. The site is not written or approved by XM, and XM does not see a page before it is published.
The editorial goal is narrow on purpose. A page is finished when a reader can act on it and check every number in it, not when it is long. Pages that cannot meet that bar are not published.
Five rules every page follows
- Money facts carry a source and a check date. Minimum deposits, leverage, dormant-account fees and similar figures appear with the page they were read from and the day they were read. A figure without a source does not go live.
- No personal advice. The guides describe how things work and what can go wrong. They do not tell a reader what to trade, when, or with how much.
- No promises about outcomes. Nothing on this site says a strategy, signal, bonus or platform will make money. Where research is quoted, its limits are quoted with it.
- Reviewer voices stay verbatim. When the site quotes a trader, the quote is a trimmed, unedited extract with the platform, the reviewer's country and the review date, and account identifiers or amounts are removed.
- What we do not know is said plainly. If a term could not be confirmed, the page says so rather than guessing, and the open question is listed on the page itself.
What the site deliberately leaves out
Some topics are excluded by an editorial decision recorded in the site's decision log, not by oversight. The site does not describe XM's corporate structure, authorisations or supervisory bodies; it tells readers where their own contracting company is named, the client agreement, and stops there; it does not list payment methods for South Africa until a dated capture of the broker's own list exists; and it does not publish spreads or execution figures without stating when and how they were measured.
Every exclusion is a trade-off: the reader gets less, but nothing on the page is a guess.
Corrections and updates
Dated facts are re-checked at least once a quarter, and sooner when a reader, a review or the broker's own pages show a change. When a correction is made, the affected page shows the new check date in its facts strip and in the “Sources and verification dates” table where one exists.
A factual error reported through the contact route on the status page is checked against the primary source and, if confirmed, corrected within a few working days. Wording changes that do not alter a fact are not announced.
Independence and the button
The buttons on this site do not open a XM account. They open an account with FxPro, a different broker and this site's partner, and every button says so. That relationship funds the site. It does not change what the guides say about XM: negative reviewer experiences, withdrawal rules and dormant fees stay on the page whether or not they help anyone click.
How the partnership works and what the site is not is set out on the status and funding page.
